Introduction

The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management currently consists three departments: Tourism Management, Food and Beverage Management, and Hotel Management. The Department of Tourism Management also offers a master’s program in Tourism and Hospitality. With its completeness in the field of tourism and hospitality, the college not only has a faculty with practical experiences and research ability, it also maintains a long-term friendly cooperative relationship with leading companies in the tourism industry. It has nurtured countless professional and passionate talents in the field.

  1. To enhance students’ foreign language abilities to cope with the characteristics of the tourism and leisure industry, the college places great emphasis on language training, promotes bilingual education, and encourages students participate in overseas study.

Future Development Direction

  1. Recruit excellent students to maintain the college’s leading position in northern Taiwan.

Integrate equipment and resources to enhance students’ practical skills: each department enriches its equipment according to its characteristics and curriculum requirements, and by adopting resources and equipment management to enhance students’ practical skills and achieve the benefits of internal integration and diffusion. 
  1. Integrate faculty and external resources to enhance students' employability: According to the "Practice Enhancement" and "Industry-College Collaboration" strategies of the technological and vocational education reform plan, each department invites qualified guest-instructors from the industry to co-teach related courses. The college coordinates and integrates faculty expertise, enhances students' employability through joint courses, tourism and hospitality master's programs, and internship platforms, in hope students would get the retention from their internship employers and achieve the goal of employment upon graduation.
